When you’re so busy you find your car keys in the fridge on a regular basis, you know it’s time to give yourself a break! Follow our super easy beauty hacks to stay calm and organised throughout the day.
Dry Shampoo is your hair’s new best friend!
Really, who has time to wash their hair on a daily basis? We’re huge fans of a good spritzing of dry shampoo to refresh your hairstyle. Even a light sprinkle of talcum powder will do the job if you’ve run out!
Multi-purpose products work wonders!
Did you know your favourite lipstick can cleverly double up as a cream blush? Use a light hand to dab the colour onto the apples of your cheeks and set with a translucent powder. You can even mix some loose blush powder or eye shadow with Vaseline to create a tinted lip balm!
Heat your eyelash curlers
Save time applying layer upon layer of mascara with this simple trick. Run your eyelash curlers under your hairdryer on a low heat for 1-2 minutes - test on the back of your hand to ensure it’s not too hot. Use on bare lashes to create an instant lift and curl. Sweep on some mascara and flutter those lashes! Also, if your mascara is looking a little dry, drip a couple of drops of saline solution or eye drops in to revive it.
Keep your eye gel in the fridge
Puffy and sleepy eyes be gone with this nifty trick. Run two teaspoons under cold water and hold on to your eyes, cup side down, for 1-2 minutes. Remove and smother on your eye cream straight from the fridge. We can hear the sighs of relief already!
Go coconuts for coconuts!
The new buzzword in beauty is coconut oil! A nourishing multi-tasker, this holy-grail natural product can fit into your routine in so many ways. Here are just a few…
Melt a small amount between your palms and massage into your face to remove make-up.
Used as a deep conditioning hair mask, coconut oil is said to increase hydration, shine and aid dandruff.
Rub it straight on to your lips, cuticles or any dry patches of skin to help soothe and repair. A great product to carry around in your handbag!
Get your beauty sleep!
Struggle drifting off? A few drops of lavender oil on a hankie underneath your pillow will help you on your way to the land of nod. Make sure to keep your make-up remover/wipes by your bed, so as soon as you feel sleepy there’s nothing holding you back from getting between those sheets. Lastly, smother your feet in a healing foot treatment and pop on some fuzzy socks for some serious late night beauty indulgence!
